IS IT WORTH ARGUING OVER?

In life, we all fall out with each other due to differences of opinion or over something that was not life threatening or changing, but as we grow older and wiser, we learn to put things into prospective and our tolerance levels become higher.

My main dislike are people who have no respect for you. The saying ‘familiarity breeds contempt’ comes to mind.

I rarely argue with anyone, but I always have a reason to moan because I have respect myself and my property and if anyone goes against my standards of living, I become very resentful and spend less time with them.

An argument can be seen as a disagreement and only becomes a negative word when angry words or foul language is exchanged. Then the word ‘ignorance and arrogance’ sets in.

People need to learn that everyone has different ideas about how to live, what they like and do not like etc.

If you find it hard to respect someone else’s opinion, even if you do not agree, then you should avoid the subject altogether.

The world would be a boring place if we all had the same interests and we all thought or felt the same way.

Here is an example of who I am and what I like.

I like supernatural horror & psychological thrillers based on real accounts. I enjoy documentaries & criminal, forensic investigations

I do not enjoy predictable films like slasher movies and romantic hero sagas.

If I have friends coming over, I will try to maintain a balance. It is hard to please everybody. It is important that all parties find an interest in something that they all agree on.

Some people are natural born troublemakers, they love the drama of verbal fights. They will always find a way to cause a stir amongst the groups.

I used to know somebody like that no matter how much you tried to make the peace they would try to make the matter worse by bringing up past calamities. It seemed they enjoyed the conflicts between people.

The main reasons people have arguments is around materialism and that is even after the death of someone. Hence the saying ‘The love of money is the root of all evil’

I also notice pointless arguments around sporting events because someone has a difference of opinion about an athlete. They become arrogant and aggressive in their behaviour.

The worse type of arguing is the ignorance of fools who know they are wrong but will never admit it when proven. They would rather change it around to save face.

There is nothing wrong in having a debate on a subject what is wrong is how far you are willing to take that debate on a negative level.

In everything there must be a balance.
