PROOF IS EASY, FAITH IS HARD!!

What does ‘having faith’ look like to you?

Faith is the knowledge deep down inside that things will get better.

Quote

“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” — Thomas Aquinas

Faith is what helps us get through the difficult times in life. The human mind is a powerful tool and what we focus on is what we get more of.

I find it extremely hard to move forward from some difficult times that I have had in the past.

I have noticed that I have given them more power, through thought, than they deserve.

If I gave the positive things in my life that much attention, I would be practicing happiness. The way to do this is to change your mindset.

Reading my bible, I found a great example of believing and having faith.

Hebrews 11 v 1 “Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.”

I have faith, hope, and trust in a higher power, which is the God of my understanding.

I don’t identify as a religious person as I am a spiritual individual who is not rigid in some of the manufactured rules that people put in place. The word ‘YOU CAN’T’ or ‘YOU MUST’ does not sit well with me.

I spent most of my life living by other people’s rules now in my mid-life I refuse to be controlled by other people or entities.

I know right from wrong, and I have my high standards of living, so I live by my own rules which are in line with living a godly life.

I have faith that I will do what is right as I pray for wisdom, knowledge, courage, strength, and guidance.

We live in a material world and society see the wealthy as the worthy but when you die you don’t take any of it with you.

Money doesn’t buy character, morals, real friends, or love.

Faith is in what you cannot see and not what is right in front of you.

It is simple enough for me to have faith in what I cannot see as I am someone who is spiritual and does not believe that everything is as straightforward as we are made to believe.

I believe there is good and evil, angels and demons.

It is up to the individual to decide for themselves what they want to believe or have faith in.

There are many ways in which my faith has been tested.

There were two things that I prayed for most in my life. One was to die because I was always unhappy and the other was to cure my Father from cancer.

I have failed to die, and my Father did die. But it does not mean I lost my faith only that I became incredibly angry at the time.

I have learnt that just because you don’t get what you want that you turn your back on God.

I know people who do not believe in God/higher power but the minute they find themselves in trouble they ask people to pray for them.

Faith is the substance or assurance of things that we hope for but have not yet received.

My faith has grown over the past few years as I have a different mindset to what I used to have.

In everything there must be a balance.
