LOSING YOUR TRUE IDENTITY!

The two layers of the human mind are the conscious and the subconscious.

The conscious is the first interface of the mind. It deals with logic and reasoning. Thinking, Emotions, Imagination, Beliefs, Will Power

The subconscious deals with personality and behaviour.

The only way we can balance our mindset is to learn how to work the in harmony.

I am enthusiastic in the study of human behaviour and how we reach the decisions that we make in our lives.

DO WE THINK FOR OURSELVES???

Are our choices based on our own truth or somebody else’s opinion?

Do we really think for ourselves or base things on what we see in the media?

Do we feel that we really have freedom of speech without judgement and criticism from others?

Some of us are like sheep following what society see as the norm through the eyes of the media.

I really feel sad when I look at the younger generations as some of them are  already shackled to the influence the media has on them.

The pressure to look a certain way and the emphasis on the importance of ‘materialism’ in order to fit in with the in-crowd.

The pressure to stay in fashion sometimes leads to petty crime and the  risk of having a criminal record.

Guys as well as girls obsessing over their weight. The obsession to be ‘stick thin’ vs the dangers of having an ‘eating disorder’ which could end up fatal.

How many people can identify with their original self?

The learnt prejudices against anyone that is different to what is deemed as beautiful or so called ‘perfect.’

I have noticed that a lot of women are basing their lives on  reality Tv shows.

I remember when I was growing up in the UK being of colour, having full lips or a generous bottom was deemed as unattractive.

Today I am seeing people with ‘odd-looking’ unnatural lips and all the other additions that they never would have had.

You are not unique or original!!

Are you a free-thinker or do you just agree with whatever everyone else is saying?

Do you have a voice or are you the ones to sit back and allow people to speak for you?

The other problem is the discrimination against people who are just ‘real,’ being who they naturally are.

I am not saying that a person who genuinely wants a make over to make themselves feel beautiful is a bad thing.

The balance is that you are making these changes because you want it and not to fit in with others.

I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way and that they should not base their choices on what other people think.

I have spent the majority of my life trying to work out who I truly am or what I really want out of life.

I admit I was never one to follow anyone else although I naively thought that everyone else’s life was better than mine.

I have always been unique with the type of clothes I wore I loved to look different to everyone else.

Today it is different. I would like to think that I have a balanced way of thinking.

I start my day with gratitude, as I have what I need.

If I really want something I can wait until it becomes affordable.

In everything there must be a balance.
